Here is a super quick and simple way to tell if Decentraleyes is successfully preventing third-party libraries from being downloaded:
1. Install the [SixOrNot](https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/sixornot/) extension
2. Add it's toolbar button to a toolbar
3. Click on its toolbar button after any page is loaded
Doing this, you can quickly see every host to which your browser is connecting for the current page. If a library host is not listed, Decentraleyes is successfully preventing access to that host.
Feel free to add this to the readme, or if you like, I can add this for you.

Thanks for this sorely needed addon, I'd been wanting something to plug this obvious spying problem for some time.

Many of the assets I would hope to replace do not appear in any "commonly used libraries" list, so I'm asking your to please consider supporting custom mappings. This could be a gui-less advanced feature. At startup, decentraleyes would just parse an additional custom_mappings.txt file, loading custom pairs of regex url match rule + file://path/to/replacement

Hi, firstly thanks for the great addon, I'm looking forward to using it more! I'm a little new to using it so forgive me if I'm incorrectly doing something wrong.
I installed the addon (on latest Firefox version) and went to the addon's test site which said I had configured it correctly. I can also see the counter going up when testing it there but when I visit a random site with libraries it still requests it e.g. https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.12.2/jquery.min.js. Visting another version the library loads it locally - https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.4/jquery.min.js (btw from what I can see using the ublock logger even if it is loaded locally, a document request is sent to the server but using ff's internal network requests there is no request made - which is right?).
Going back to the main point, do you know why some requests aren't loaded locally..I'm assuming local libraries cannot work with older library version? Also not getting seeing any comments saying locally hosted libraries are being used?

Since this is a restartless addon, it'll update on the fly while browsing.
But unlike traditional addons, making the release notes appear after updating can be problematic. In a traditional addon, if a page is forced to load (such as a changelog) it's not a problem, because the browser is empty and the user isn't yet engaged in browsing.
But it's distracting to have the tab that I was on suddenly be switched to a new one unannounced. I still want to see the notes (so I don't want to disable them), but maybe the loaded tab shouldn't be focused immediately. Or maybe give a floating window that says it has been updated.

Hi!
Thank you for the great plugin! I noticed in the most recent release ([v1.35](https://git.synz.io/Synzvato/decentraleyes/commit/e595faa5414dcbdece4a1f79e46ef81dfc0e8677)) you added support for additional Google scripts, is there any additional white listing that needs to be done in ublockOrigin or uMatrix that is referenced in the [FAQ](https://git.synz.io/Synzvato/decentraleyes/wikis/Frequently-Asked-Questions) to enable support for the new scripts?
Additionally, in the future would it be possible to **flag users** upon an update to decentraleyes if any new white listing is needed, as well as make it more apparent to **new users** using both decentraleyes and uBlockOrigin and/or uMatrix that they need to white list some domains? (For example it took me a couple months of using decentraleyes to realize I needed to whitelist domains in uBlockOrigin and uMatrix to get any benefit to using this plugin).
Thanks again for the plugin, it is a great idea and look forward to further development!
