Hi, I am really liking Decentraleyes but I found 1 little kink in the testing utility: for some reason, when click the decentraleyes.org/test link from within the extension itself (in the toolbar), the testing utility says that Decentraleyes is not working. But when I refresh that same page, it says the tool is operational.
Also, when I manually go to decentraleyes.org/test by entering it in the toolbar, the page says fully operational.
Just a small kink I found that was kind of odd.
The tool does indeed seem to be working as expected as the counter in the extension (local CDNs served) is incrementing after some browsing.

Hello, I tried to reproduce that; but it works okay for me every time. On Win desktop. It would probably help the dev if you say what device you are using.
Like you, I think that DCE`is absolutely great. I'm only sorry that I hadn't found it sooner. I will certainly be telling others, too.
Since Thomas is taking a little time off, I hope you don't mind a few suggestions:
In Firefox, under Web Developer you can look at both the Web Console and the Browser Console for clues. There should be something similar for Chromium-based. (Please pardon me if you already know these things.)
Since the problem seems to be Chromium based, can you try Firefox to confirm that it is okay for you? (I uninstalled Chrome when I discovered that it scans my hard drive to "help" me. I uninstalled Brave when I saw that while they blocked google fonts, they still permitted the associated privacy-invading CSS. That was true over the course of many, many months; so I don't trust their attitude.)
Just wanted to enter this query and hopefully figure out what I need to do to make my extension work, which I downloaded from WebStore. I have Windows/10 PC with Chrome version 71.0.3578.98. The download and install works then the test fails soon after with the "Your browser was able to connect to a blacklisted CDN." "Decentraleyes is not working as intended" I only notice this if I look, otherwise have been assuming that it is working properly (as you know it does not flag the user somehow, maybe it could? like with Icon turning RED? or ?. I have had Privacy Badger, uBlocker, and a VPN in use and it seemed that it worked even so, but now it doesn't even if I disable all and disconnect VPN? I unistalled/reinstalled same prob. I went direct to the web test URL in browser- same. I will watch this article for more info. Not complaining. Think it's cool! It had like 270 blocked CDNs. So it has worked on and off ut Just want to get it to work. Any/all suggestions welcome. Thanks. PS not super technical just a basic.
Significant changes have since been made to improve tab handling. I'm no longer able to reproduce this particular problem on my end, and will therefore close this issue. If anyone is still experiencing difficulties in this regard, please feel free to re-open this issue!
